The goal was to create a system where people could use their hands to draw whatever they imagined. The only limit? Their creativity.
To build this system, I used the webcam on my laptop and processed the feed in real-time with Python. This made it possible for people to draw directly over a live video feed of themselves. Pretty freaky, right? The results were amazing!
To tie the project together, I added a second screen that displayed a chalkboard-style gallery showcasing all the drawings created that day. Over 100 people joined in, drawing whatever popped into their minds!
I won third place by putting a fresh spin on the idea of drawing. The second screen, which really brought everything together, was a big hit with the judges. Throughout the evening, guests shared amazing feedback, and seeing everyone draw in the air, filled with joy and excitement, was incredibly rewarding.
